Cory E. Smith

Cory E. Smith has functioned as a COO since the inception of ECI, organizing onsite logistical requirements and co-producing web based data communications.

Cory is a conscientious entrepreneur with a broad range of small business start-ups and management skills, with experience in retail, wholesale, manufacturing, import/export and small business development, personal mentoring programs and currently forest land rehabilitation and development.

Cory conceptualized and built the first environmentally themed surf shop in the world1 in Santa Cruz, Ca. [1979-1992 Santa Cruz Surf Shop and Santa Cruz Surfboards]

On a new venture in 1992, Cory relocated from Santa Cruz to Tahiti, French Polynesia. He founded two pearling companies; I.N.C. International Nucleus Company (supplying pearl nuclei to pearl farmers) and Oceans 3 Pearl Company (bulk wholesale pearl sales). His clients included Mikimoto and Tasakai, the world’s largest pearl companies. In 1996 he started two US based companies; Brilyse Pearls™ and Pearls Krisana™ (South Sea Pearl jewelry). US clients included jewelry retailers; Tiffany, Nordstrom, Fortunoff, Princess Cruises and Neiman Marcus. From the pearl nuclei that serve in the propagation of pearls, to the finest of the pearl harvests eventually plucked from the abyss and later sold in fine jewelry stores worldwide, vertically integrated Cory into an emerging gem industry and eventual steadfast global wholesale South Sea Pearl company.
